Collection Information
Neonatal type and screens are drawn in 3 EDTA (pink/lavender top) microtainers.
The three microtainers must be: Appropriately labeled with patient information.
Have a BLOOD LOCK CODE recorded on each microtainer.
Collection information must be entered in Epic at the time of collection.
Additional testing will be performed on unexpected results.
