LAB3051 Disaccharidase Panel, Biopsy
Collection Information
Obtain a specimen of the intestinal mucosa (2.0-9.0 mg in size) either by means of an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with biopsy or by means of an intestinal biopsy capsule. This sample should be obtained distal to the second part of the duodenum to ensure reliable results. Immediately place the specimen in a sealed container (no more than 2-3cc in size) and place this container in dry ice.
