Test Information
This test is for patients diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis only, all other patient populations order Lower Respiratory Culture [LAB267].
Collection Information
If Mycobacterial (AFB) or Fungal testing is also requested send as much specimen as posisble for optimal recovery of organisms.
Throat swabs should only be sent on patients unable to produce sputum.
