LAB4163 Group B Strep PCR Screen
Test Information
This test is for the detection of Group B Streptococcus in pregnant woman. Swabs from other sites are not appropriate for screening of Group B Streptococcus.
In patients with penicillin allergy, Group B Streptococcus will automatically be cultured to enable testing for inducible clindamycin resistance.
