LAB481 Methotrexate Level
Collection Information
Samples drawn for methotrexate therapeutic drug monitoring are ideally drawn via peripheral venipuncture. When peripheral venipuncture is not possible refer to DH procedure ID 234 for guideance on appropriate collection site and steps to adequately flush the catheter/line. Subcutaneous ports (e.g. Mediports) should be avoided due to high risk of sample contamination.
