Collection Information
Specimen should be drawn without using a tourniquet into a gray top tube.
Note: If tourniquet must be used to locate a vein, 1-2 minutes must elapse after release of tourniquet before blood is collected.
Mix specimen 4-5 times and send to the lab immediately on ice.
