This dsDNA antibody result was generated using a fluoroenzyme immunoassay on the Phadia 250 analyzer. This quantitative test is designed to detect IgG antibodies directed against double stranded DNA in human serum. The presence of antibodies that recognize dsDNA is a highly specific marker for systemic lupus erythematosus. Please note that as of 10/25/2022 that this testing is performed by the Special Chemistry Laboratory at DHMC. This change in testing location is associated with a change is testing method and reference intervals. Please review the results of this test in association with the posted reference intervals.
