Additional Specimen Instructions
If sending an isolate from a positive blood culture, send the bottle and the isolate plate.
Send the identification or biochemical information your lab has about the organism, specimen source and if susceptibility testing is requested.
Send organism in the correct transport atmosphere (aerobic/anaerobic), this is organism dependent if you are unsure please call the Microbiology Lab.
