of
end of collection. Keep urine sample refrigerated until
delivered
to laboratory.

Additional Specimen Instructions
Plasma creatinine must be drawn within the time frame of 24 hrs
prior to the beginning of urine collection or no later than 24 hrs
after completion of the urine collection.
Urine must be collected for 24 hours with no preservative and urine
must be kept refrigerated during collection.
Urine collection date and time information in Cerner must be the
end date and time of the 24 hr collection period.
If urine must be collected with a preservative for other analytes,
only Jug # 12 (HCl) or Jug # 2 (Boric Acid) are acceptable.
