Is the patient currently on iron therapy?

Has the patient been transfused with RBCs in the past 90 days?

Refrigerate.

Specimen must be received in the lab within 24 hours of draw.

5 days if refrigerated (hemogram must be run within 24 hours of draw).

Do not freeze or spin.
