Additional Specimen Instructions
Type & Screen samples must be appropriately labeled, must have a BLOOD LOCK CODE recorded on the tube, include a future surgical date, and must be accompanied by a signed and dated collection slip.
Additional Testing Information
All samples submitted for a Type & Screen will have the following tests performed: ABO Group, Rh Type, and Antibody Screen (indirect coombs test). An antibody identification will be performed on any sample with a positive antibody screen result.
