| Methotrexate Lvl | Therapeutic/Toxic Ranges: Therapeutic & toxic ranges values vary greatly with the dosage regimen used and the time between dosing and sample collection. Generally during high dose Methotrexate therapy peak levels may be greater than 1000 mcmol/L.Salicylates Barbiturates Sulfonamides and Phenytoin diminish renal tubular transport of Methotrexate and can prolong methotrexate clearance. Serum concentrations >5 mcmol/L at 24 hrs after high dose therapy and 1 mcmol/L at 48 hrs after start of therapy are predictive of toxicity. |
