Specimen Transport Temperature
Refrigerate.
Transport tube immediately to the Hematology Laboratory for centrifugation. See additional specimen instructions below if immediate transport to the laboratory is not available.

Specimen Stability
Serum ambient: 2 hours
Serum refrigerated: 72 hours
Additional Specimen Instructions
Allow tube to clot before spinning. Spin at 2500 RPM for 10 minutes, seperate serum, refrigerate immediately. Serum must be removed from cells within 2 hours of draw. Refrigerate serum for transport.
