This test is a screening test for intestinal colonization with fluoroquinolone-resistant organisms to be used when indicated prior to trans-rectal prostate biopsy. Due to short stability window, specimens should NOT be collected on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays due lack of timely transportation to reference laboratory over the weekend.
