Collection Information
Collect SIX 2.7 mL Blue top tubes and ONE 2.0 mL Lavender top tube
Blue top tubes must be filled within 10% of the stated volume. A discard tube must be used if a citrate tube is to be drawn using a winged blood collection set. It is important to remove air from the blood collection set to ensure the proper blood volume is obtained in the coag tube.
Do not transport PFA specimen via the pneumatic tube system. Call distribution at 5-6101 for transport. Do not refrigerate, centrifuge, or rock samples.
