Test Information
- No routine specimens for parasite exam will be accepted from patients hospitalized for more than 3 days without approval by pathologist.

- Microsporidia, Cyclospora and Isospora must be specifically requested by ordering Miscellaneous Lab Request [LAB3715].
Collection Information
Stool specimens must not contain barium, mineral oil, urine, or drug. Frozen specimens will be rejected.
Single specimens or up to 2 specimens will be accepted.
